Mykola Zhulinskyi

Mykola Zhulinskyi was born in 1953 in the village of Chorna in Khmelnytskyi region, and studied in Odesa and Kharkiv. The artist currently lives, works, and teaches in Sumy. Mykola Zhulinskyi specializes in monumental and easel painting, as well as graphics. In his work, the author is inspired by the philosophy of happiness of the Indian thinker Sri Aurobindo.

His painting is full of a sense of brokenness, a complex psychological state that accompanied the period of great social changes. By combining Asian philosophy and Ukrainian material, Mykola Zhulinskyi creates an avant-garde vision of form, space, and boundaries.
