Oksana Korniyenko was born in 1961 in Chernihiv. Having received an education at the Kharkiv Engineering and Construction Institute in architecture, the artist began working in the Chernihiv art workshops. Nowadays, she lives and works in Chernihiv.
The artist defines her style as "domestic optimism", and believes that the main point of creativity is constant search and self-improvement.
