Vasyl Byk

Vasyl Byk was born in 1958 in Zhytomyr region. In 1993, he graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, workshop of monumental sculpture of professor V. Borodai.

He has been a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2006.

Vasyl Byk is the author of memorable sign to lost firemen in the incident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station (Kyiv, 1991) and a memorial plate dedicated to O. Honchar (Kyiv, 1996). He took part in restoration of the monument to Princess Olga (Kyiv, 1996).

Active participant of Ukrainian art exhibitions since 1985, a permanent participant of the Great Sculpture Salon.

The works of small, plastic arts are in procession of  private collections of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, USA, Italy and Greece and also in the Storages of State Art Exhibitions of Ukraine under the jurisdiction of Culture of Ukraine end National preserve “Sofia Kyivska”, National Museum of Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv.

He works with different materials and in different techniques of sculptures.

Lives and creates in his own manufactory in the Kyiv region.
