Vira Kuleba-Barynova

Vira Kuleba-Barynova was born in 1938 in the village of Rymarivka in Poltava region. She studied at Kharkiv Art School (now - Kharkiv Professional Higher Art College) and Kyiv State Art Institute (KDHI, now - National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture). Since 1968, she has been teaching at the KDHI. 

She began her teaching career in the studio of V. Kasiian, where she taught painting and drawing to graphic design students together with O. Yablonska. Since 1995, she is a professor of the Department of Painting and Composition; Full member (academician) of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine (since 2017), People's Artist of Ukraine (since 2009). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1970).

Already in 1966, she participated in her first foreign exhibition in Berlin. Since then, with numerous exhibitions abroad, Vira Kuleba-Barynova replenishes the treasury of the world‘s art process, and for her admirers - their own personal collections.

The artist's works are in the collections of museums in Ukraine, USA and Canada.
